Dr. William Scholl the founder of Dr. Scholl’s Shoes, was an inventor and entrepreneur who created products to give pain relief and comfort for people’s feet. In the 1960’s, his simple wood sandal design with a brightly colored strap inspired by a vintage clog was born. He had set out to make a shoe that was good for one’s health and along the way ended up creating an enduring fashion and foot comfort icon.
